When Kayla Burgett of Makeup by Kayla Nichole suggested the state capitol as the location for a styled bridal session, I couldn’t help but say yes! Before moving out to Texas, I had the opportunity to photograph an amazing styled bridal shoot in Colorado Springs. There was anything from a vintage inspired vignette to a steampunk themed vignette 😉   Here are some of my favorites from the day

There are few things sweeter than seeing a mother with her children, and Natalie and her sweet brood were no exception. Natalie wanted a mommy and me session with all 4 of her adorable kiddos. I hope she is able to cherish these portraits for years to come 🙂

I’m often reminded of just how fast life’s little moments pass us by. For us moms, we often focus on pictures of our kids, and rarely want to be in the photos ourselves. I personally want to make it a goal to be in more photos with my kids in this precious time in their lives – I know I will treasure the memories years to come, as I’m sure they will also! If you are on the fence about a mommy and me session, let me encourage you to do it!  You’ll be glad you did 🙂

So there is this cute little girl who I’m kind of obsessed with…she’s snuggly, silly, and has the best giggle. She just happens to be my little Raegan 😉

Raegan (or Rae Rae as her big brother calls her) turned one last month, and so of course I had to do a cake smash session. By the end of it, she was bouncing off the walls from all that frosting!

And then daddy accidentally knocked over her cake…BIG MISTAKE! 😉

I have been so excited to share this special special wedding!  I had the privilege and pleasure of photographing my beautiful cousin’s wedding in California last month, and what a perfect day it was. Every detail was stunning, from the flowers, to the special tribute to their grandparents, but especially the bride herself (I’d say its that beautiful pregnancy glow).  Brianna and Frank said “I do” at the Wilson Creek Winery – a gorgeous venue in Temecula wine country.

I loved getting to be a part of their special day, and being a witness to the beginning of a new family 🙂  Love you, Bri and Frank!

Meet Hayley!  This sweet girl is a fun, bubbly junior at Doherty High School, and cheers on their varsity squad.  After graduation, Hayley plans on going to school to become a teacher.

We got lucky with one of the most perfect spring days. Living in Colorado you just never know what April has in store, so we were stoked to have a beautiful day with no wind, and better yet, no snow!

What do you get when you mix a beautiful setting, pretty floral crown, and a hint of spring?  You get some amazing “swoon-worthy” images, but the soft light, slight breeze, and beautiful model is what really made this session magical.

I’ve been itching to do something different…something a little boho chic…something earthy and soft. Lucky for me, Alison was game!  For her portraits, we decided we wanted a soft and romantic look, so we went with a beautiful floral crown, adored with pale pink flowers to complete the look.

Alison will be graduating nursing school this Spring, and wanted some portraits to celebrate this special time 🙂   What a great way to commemorate this milestone
